In short: stream only what you have the right to share, follow each platform's rules, be decent in your replies and don't misuse the service. We may stop streams or close accounts that break these rules.

What this policy is for

Beamcast sends your live video to the platforms you choose and shows you the comments that come back. This policy lists what you may not use it for. It is part of our Terms of Service, and it applies to everything you stream, write or reply with Beamcast.

Content you may not stream or send

  • anything illegal where you or your viewers are;
  • content you don't have the rights to rebroadcast, such as films, TV, sports events, concerts or music you are not licensed to share;
  • sexual content, nudity or content that sexualises anyone under 18;
  • content that promotes violence, terrorism, self-harm or hatred against people because of who they are;
  • harassment, threats, bullying or doxxing;
  • scams, fraud, misleading health or financial claims, or impersonating someone;
  • gambling, drugs, weapons or other regulated goods;
  • malware, phishing links or anything designed to harm devices or accounts.

Follow each platform's rules

Every platform you stream to has its own rules, such as YouTube's Community Guidelines and Meta's Community Standards. You must follow them, and a platform may end your live stream or limit your account if you don't. Beamcast cannot undo a platform's decision.

The optional Live Helper and Cloud Helper read comments from pages you are signed in to, and send the replies you write. Use them only with your own accounts, only for your own live streams, and in line with each platform's rules.

Messages and replies

  • no spam, bulk unsolicited messages or automated replies;
  • no collecting other people's personal details from comments for marketing lists or resale;
  • reply as yourself or your organisation, never pretending to be someone else.

Using the service fairly

  • don't try to break, overload or probe Beamcast for weaknesses without our written permission;
  • don't share an account to get around plan limits, or resell Beamcast as your own service;
  • don't use Beamcast to stream other people's live streams or channels without their permission.

What we do if the rules are broken

We may stop a live stream, remove content, pause features or close an account that breaks this policy, and we will tell you why where we reasonably can. To report misuse, email support@beamcast.stream with a link or the details, and we will look into it.
